Queen Mary Students’ Union, University of London is recruiting for three candidates to provide external secretariat support to service to three Boards and Committees:

Queen Mary Students’ Union has recently registered as a charity and is currently seeking approval from its membership to incorporate as Company Limited by Guarantee.

These roles would provide a remunerated opportunity for someone with successful experience in committee servicing in a university or other educational charity, who would like to gain additional experience in this specific area of governance.

Applicants for the above posts should have a sound understanding of charity governance, and the Company Secretary will also need to be familiar with Companies House requirements.

The time commitment for each post would amount to no more than 10 hours per month on average, and would include preparation for, and the servicing of, meetings, which would often be held outside normal working hours at our Mile End Campus in East London.

The salary scale, dependant on experience is from £33,794 to £46,938 (pro-rata).  Your employment agreement will be one of “contract for services” and if it will be you’re responsibly to invoice for your services.
